SL Multi-Rec Center (Schedule Changes) 

 

- Changes to MRC Schedule, due to Transformer Fire on March 14th

- Town Lists Fire Damage was worse than they thought

- Main wire from Transformer to MRC shorted out

- Ice not damaged, so Provincial Hockey tournament this weekend will go ahead

- Walking Track and Fieldhouse Closed during Hockey Provincials (March 23-26)

Hockey Alberta Provincials in Slave Lake

 

- Midget "C" Provincials @ Slave Lake's Multi-Rec Center

- Starts Thursday with first game at 4pm, Opening Ceremonies at 6:30pm, Slave Lake's first game: 8pm

- 8 teams from around Alberta participating...

  (La Crete, Lac La Biche, Whitecourt, Lacombe, Fort McLeod, Duchess, Tofield and Slave Lake)

- Lots of prizes, draws and hockey action

- Former Edmonton Oiler Fernando Pisani will be present at the Opening Ceremonies on Thursday

- 15 games in total during the weekend

  (2 games Thursday)

  (5 games Friday)

  (5 games Saturday)

  (3 games Sunday)

- Champion to be crowned on Sunday (26th)

 

Emergency Mock Exercise (EMX 17)

 

- Happening April 28th-30th (3-day event)

- Provincial "Search and Rescue" Exercise, hosted in Slave Lake

- 25 local Agencies Involved, including LAKE FM

- Over 200 people involved in Exercise

- Events and format similar to Exercise in 2015
